As a man of gravity (approaching 300lb) I look for a mattress that’s decidedly on the firm side. I can’t speak for everyone, but this was exactly what I was looking for to provide firm (but still comfortably soft) support.
Out of the box, the top layer of foam did look rumpled and lumpy beneath the mattress cover. But by the end of the first night, everything was settled and smooth. (Make sure to let it unroll and rise fully in one place before trying to move it - I think trying to move it while it was expanding was my mistake.)
After just one night, I feel more
rested than I have in years of sleeping in memory foam and soft “hybrid” mattresses. It doesn’t seem to sleep hot - I’m like a space heater but this passed the sweat test in a 74° room. Dry and comfortable all night.
For my weight, this mattress is great in any sleep position: side, stomach and back all feel natural. It has just enough sink so that my behind is flush with my spine if I’m on my back, which no mattress has ever managed to do for me before. If you’re on the lighter side, this might not be the same for you, but again, just speaking for my own size.
The quilted top doesn’t have large divots like some mattresses, and the top layer of foam is just thick enough to feel plush without the marshmallow/quicksand feel of the Zinus memory foam mattresses. Great edge support too - sleeping on my side it felt stable right up to the edge. I wouldn’t sit on it to put my shoes on, though… it smashes flat under my weight in a sitting position.
All in all, an extraordinary mattress for the price, and one I hope to keep for years. Hope this helps, big dudes!

WOW Surprisingly Good in Comparison to "Better" Names
I'm super surprised. My Sleep Number developed a slow leak about a year ago and I was kind of living with it. It held for about two nights before needed refilling.I started casually shopping Ashley, Mattress Firm, Sam's Club, and found this one on Amazon for only $330. For what it is, it came in a small-ish (but heavy AF) box for what it is. I unboxed it and punctured the sealing plastic. It hissed for a full minute before I unwrapped it the rest of the way. I ordered it at 4p and it was on the porch at 8.30a the next morning. ON SHEET CHANGE DAY! Coincidence? Hmm. Anyway, it had all day to un-fluff or whatever and I resisted the urge to try it or have a nap. I have a bad habit of not giving foam things the full time and they're forever slightly flat along the edges or whatever.I got in it last night and right off it was about the same firmness I would choose on my sleep number. I slept so comfortably! This might change...they say it takes 30 days to fully get used to it. I sleep in a lot of hotels and there are a lot of hotel mattresses I look forward to. This compares favorably with any of my favorites.It was like $360 after tax and I might have clicked a wrong button, but they're only charging me $60 or so a month for 6 months (+tax on the first payment). What's the tradeoff vs a $1000+ mattress? I don't know because I change beds & preferences too often to spend that much.It's got the perfect match of innerspring and foam and I can't wait to go back to bed tonight.(update to follow, if needed)
